gLOCAL Evaluation Week has begun!

This week-long M&E knowledge sharing initiative will bring over 250 events from 8 regions and 38 countries. All of these events are virtual and participation is just a few clicks away.

Governments, academic institutions, NGOs, VOPEs, and private sector organizations will be hosting events that will bring opportunities for participants to share knowledge, learn from each other, and make new connections.

A wide range of themes such as Evaluation Methods, Evaluation Communication and Use, and Evaluation Capacity Development will be explored during the week. In addition to these, gLOCAL events will also cover topics such as SDGs & 2030 agenda, health, gender, climate change, and ICT4D. Finally, there will also be events related to M&E in the context of COVID-19.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, M&E becomes even more important as it allows us to investigate and learn from the impact of previous policies and actions taken to address similar crises. In these unprecedented circumstances, governments need the capacity to track progress of their interventions and ensure that gaps and weaknesses are identified and addressed.
