Submitted by jyuan@worldbank.org on Thu, 01/11/2018 - 17:24

CLEAR/J-PAL South Asia at IFMR is organizing the 17th M&E roundtable on “Data-driven decision making: Using administrative data to make decisions” on January 18, 2018 at India International Center, New Delhi, India. Governments collect and store an incredible amount of administrative data across ministries, departments, and programmes and a lot of it is publically available. While some of this data is increasingly being synthesised systematically to measure progress and enable course correction, there are several other insights that can be drawn from this vast repository.

During this M&E roundtable, panelists will share how researchers and governments are collaborating to use data analytics systems to draw insights from the vast repository of administrative data available with them in order to inform policy decisions. This roundtable will feature presentations by Mr. Adithyan GS, Consultant, National Health Mission, Government of Tamil Nadu on “Data as a key driver for change in state healthcare systems” and Mr. Kshitij Batra, Junior Fellow, IDFC Institute on “Mapping India’s urbanisation using satellite data”.
